NOTE: THERE ARE A FEW OPTIONG FOR REPLACEMENT METHODS FOR THIS CABLE.
UFLM66X20 METHOD: This is a direct replacement cable for the old Morse helm.
UFlex Helm and/or tilt: If your current helm is needing replacing, you can use the Uflex Helm and cable for a fixed non-tilt install, or add in the tilt assembly to have tilt. Using the UFlex items keep a rotory cable system that we have found is easier to install then the rack system due to how Nautique made the duct work (IE the rotory end is easier to feed throught the floor vs the rack systems tiller end) Parts list: Cable, Tilt Mount, Helm.
90590 METHOD IF YOU WANT A RACK SYSTEM:
The recommended replacement of the current 90590 cable is a rack system. You will have to change out the entire helm system at the dash.
The replacement list of items if your 91/92 has a tilt helm currently:
The cable: 90590.
The back helm mount: 5205
The tilt mount for keyed steering wheels SH91800P
MORE NOTES: You may have to modify the mounting. The size and pattern of the helm mounting is NOT the same. You will need to cut, shim, add, etc the mounting area, for this to work.
Please don't assume your boat has a factory "anything" if you've not owned it since new. We see a lot of boats which folks have replaced factory items with questionable replacement parts.
